I'm Kees. I was a plasterer and painter years, then ran three cafés in Amsterdam. After selling my last one in 2023, I moved to Portugal. I lived in Lisbon for over two years, did freelance sales, and eventually settled in Cascais. But I missed working for people. Friends and locals kept saying how hard it is to find honest service and quality work for home renovations. Some had even been scammed. I knew my trade, and hospitality taught me what good service feels like. Time to combine the two. In mid-2026, I painted my first studio here. That led to more jobs. And that's how The Dutch Painter began.
